On February 14, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service issued a public health alert out of an abundance of caution due to concerns about illnesses that may be caused by Salmonella associated with a chicken salad product sold in Fareway grocery stores. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase. To view the affected products, visit the Food Safety News website.
